Aqua Taxis depart Marahau on a scenic tour to all beaches in the Park leaving the Aqua Taxi base at 9:00am,10:30am,12:00 noon and 1:30pm. One-way fares range from $23 to $50 depending on the distance travelled. The 10:30am and 12:00 noon sailings are summer only.

The Kauaeranga Valley is in the heart of the Coromandel Forest Park. Home of the Pinnacles the highest walk able point on the peninsula with spectacular views. An absolute must for hikers.
Our Shuttle departs daily for the valley we head 25kms into the forest and drop you off at the road end. We stop at DOC on the way for maps and hut passes for those wanting a few days in the forest. We collect you in the afternoon and in the summer we stop for a swim in a fantastic waterhole. Journey time approx 1 hour each way. The forest was mostly decimated by logging until 1920 but is now regenerating. It is now one of the best examples of NZ forest, thick green bush was waterfalls and streams.
The Kauaeranga Kauri trail and the Pinnacles combine to create a awesome 57 hour hike. Parts of the track are steep and we recommend comfortable worn in shoes, the dense bush protects most of the track from the elements but you can expect muddy sections of the walk. Take wet weather gear as in all cases in NZ and enough food and water for the day. Dont forget film for the camera.
